Coaching Cohort: Creating Your Signature Talk 

Program Description

This small group workshop is specifically designed for professional women looking develop a unique presentation that both resonates with their audience and advances their goals – career or business. This exclusive program is led by our founder, Bobbie Carlton. Bobbie is an experienced speaker, marketer and speechwriter, and she will help you craft a compelling and impactful signature talk.

Program Overview 

The program includes an easy-to-understand process, hands-on exercises, templates, personalized feedback, and practical strategies to ensure your presentation stands out. You’ll work in a small group, have regular breakouts and guided working sessions. This is a 4-week course plus a bonus session with Bobbie to review and polish your presentation.  Sessions are held at 2:00 p.m. ET on January 9, 16, 23 and 30, 2025. 

The sessions include: 

Session 1: Introductions, course overview and review of initial worksheet. (You will receive the worksheet and the confirmation email directly from our team before the program kicks off.)

Session 2: Your speaker business model and discussion of Big Ideas 

Session 3: Differentiators, your audience and pain points, your core message and title 

Session 4: Components of your presentation, opening & closing 

Bonus Solo Session: Review your presentation and get feedback on your work from Bobbie 

Why this program exists. We want to help our members stand out, create new and exciting concepts, and drive better results from their presentations. Too many presentations look and sound alike, don’t offer anything new and are poorly differentiated.

Level setting (This is for you if…) 

• You have extensive work and career experience but you’re just getting started with a speaking career. 
• You have content/ideas but have not yet developed a signature talk. 
• You’re looking to create a new presentation/concept or you are pivoting from a different concept. 
• Your presentations aren’t driving referrals or requests for additional presentations or repeats. 
• You don’t feel like your presentation stands out from others. 
• You’re struggling to decide what to talk about. (It’s not uncommon for even the most senior executives to struggle with “What should I talk about?”). You may have years of experience, but you are still at a loss when it comes to creating a kicka** talk. 

Pre-requisites: 

• You must be a current speaker member of Innovation Women. 
• Innovation Women speaker profile must be filled in before the sessions begin.

• The pre-course initial worksheet must be filled in. 
• You have already started creating your speaking foundation (successful career, business, life, etc.).  

Goal: Come in with an idea, leave with a signature talk (or presentation) in just 5 weeks. 

Pre-Worksheet – You will be asked questions like these (and we’ll help guide your efforts): 

• Your goals: are you looking to achieve thought leadership or expert status, secure clients, or sell a book or product? 
• Who is your intended audience and/or target event? 
• What is your intended audience’s pain point – what problem will you solve for them? 
• Do you have a Big Umbrella Idea that this talk should fit into?  
• Do you have a relevant story?
