Karen Rubin is currently on the product team at Quantopian, where they are building the world’s first crowd sourced hedge fund, having spent the past 10 years building products and managing product development teams. Rubin’s work on focuses on their cloud based algorithmic trading platform, on which their users and community members research investment ideas, write algorithms to invest in the market, backtest their ideas against historical data and then build track records in the hopes of future investment.

Before starting at Quantopian, Rubin worked on the investing team at Matrix Partners; on the product team at Hubspot; and spent five years managing content publishing development projects for clients such as NBC, iVillage.com, TheStreet.com, Stockpickr.com and GiftCertificates.com.
