Workshop: Getting Started with Public Speaking
Innovation Women is partnering with Staples for an Innovation Women Speaker Series at Staples Studio.
Join us to kick off this series as we share tactics on securing speaking opportunites, submitting proposals, and rocking the stage. Meet the Innovation Women team and other Innovation Women members. Network and get to know other leading women in the local business community. Innovation Women members can also record a video for their Innovation Women profiles. Conference organizers tell us over and over again that a video is a key feature for getting booked. They want to see you speak before inviting you to speaking engagements!
While many people recognize the need to participate in industry conferences and events, they may stumble when it comes to defining their topic, matching the topic to an event or speaking opportunity, and creating a kick-ass proposal. Our workshop will walk each participant through our self-assessment tool, which helps build an abstract, write a bio and find the best fit for the talk. Additionally, we will provide each participant with handy tips and tricks for giving great presentations.
