For the third year, Innovation Women, Lioness Magazine and employee survey company Energage teamed up to recognize woman-led top workplaces, as judged by the people who work there. Of the 300 organizations that qualified for consideration, 215 earned the title based on confidential employee surveys.
Here’s how it works. Any U.S. organization with 150 or more employees can compete if a woman holds the top executive role. Co-led organizations qualify when women hold at least 50 percent of the chief executive positions. Energage runs a 26-question survey that covers pay and benefits, leadership, meaningfulness, inclusion and work-life flexibility. At least 35 percent of employees have to respond for the results to count. The award can’t be bought.
“Earning a Woman-Led Top Workplaces award is a celebration of excellence,” said Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage. “It serves as a reminder of the vital role a people-first workplace experience plays in achieving success.”
