It’s up to us…to get more female voices heard.
We’re running a special program through December 2016. Our goal is to add more than 1000 women to our database of great women speakers, and to be able to support some great causes: Science Club for Girls and TechGirlz.

  • Science Club for Girls (SCFG) provides the very best in girls-specific programming by connecting girls in K-12 grades, especially those from underrepresented groups, with female mentor-scientists through free science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programs in a fun, nurturing, interactive environment.
  • TechGirlz is dedicated to reducing the gender gap in technology occupations. TechGirlz gets middle-school age girls interested in different kinds of technology and demonstrates the varied options of careers available.

Usually an annual profile on Innovation Women costs $100. Through the end of December 2016, we’re dropping the price to $75/year AND we’re donating a portion of the price to causes that support the next generation of young women. Use these codes when you sign up for a new profile on Innovation Women and we’ll drop the price to $75 and make a $25 donation to one of these great causes.

  • Good4SCFG for Science Club for Girls
  • Good4TG for TechGirlz
  • Good4Girls will charge you $90 and we’ll make a $25 donation to both causes.

According to the Convention Industry Council, there are more than 1.8 million meetings, trade shows, conventions, congresses, incentive events and other meetings that take place in the United States every year. Many, if not most, of these events utilize individual speakers and panels of speakers to teach, inform and entertain their audiences.
From the speaker’s point of view, speaking engagements are terrific marketing for the individual and the individual’s employer.  Speaking engagements lead to customer and partner connections, they lead to job offers and board invitations, and the visibility can help startups get funded by connecting entrepreneurs with investors.
Women are still less likely to get onstage.  All too often speaking slates are “all male and all pale.” More diversity among speakers is needed to help promote different ways of thinking and more diverse points of view. Innovation Women makes it easier than ever for event managers, from meetups to the largest national conferences, to connect with more diverse speakers.
Innovation Women markets our database of great women speakers to event managers and conference organizers who need to put more women on stage.  We monitor the existence of all male panels and places where women are underrepresented. We promote our databases to reporters who can use it to get comments from female experts in a variety of industries.  And, we allow our speakers to tag their profile if they wish to connect with nonprofits looking for mentors.
