IT’S 4 AM AND THE OLYMPIC GYMNASTS ARE JUST AMAZING!
Dear Innovation Women,
Entrepreneur, executive, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend…we’re all equally in awe of the feats of strength, endurance and power coming from the Olympics. Whether it is in the pool or in the field, on the sands of the volleyball court or on the track, the Olympians never cease to amaze. A photo from one of the volleyball matches remains one of my favorites, showing two players, one in bikini and the other in long sleeves and hijab. Two different women. Two different cultures. One game and a great example for younger women.
Lately we have been hearing that there has been an uptick in startup activity – more women, millennials and minorities are becoming entrepreneurs. According to the Kauffman Foundation, there has been a significant rise in startup activity and women are a huge contributing factor. And the more examples these people see, the better.
