In 2022, we will be celebrating fifty years of Title IX, which sought equity in education for women and girls. In recognition of this milestone, the Lewis-Clark State College’s 5th Annual Women’s Leadership Conference, “Celebrating 50 Years of Title IX: Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going,” is centered on how changes in society and law have provided women new opportunities in leadership, in careers, and in their lives in general. While there remain obstacles to equity in leadership, this conference will consider how women have responded to increased leadership responsibilities and how changes in education have shifted expectations and removed some barriers.
