BIOGEN Women Innovation Network Award Nominations
Deadline: Dec 7, 2015
This year, Biogen’s WIN (Women’s Innovation Network) is partnering with WEST to support the 8th Annual Giving Back Awards Ceremony January 21st, 2016. The goal of this event is to celebrate women in STEM who, outside of their formal responsibilities, give back to the community in ways that make a meaningful difference. Does this sound like any women you know? Nominate them to win!
Your Nominee(s) should meet the following criteria:
* Holds a day job in a STEM organization
* Is an unsung heroine, doing remarkable service in ways that may not be widely known
* Makes a direct difference in the community
* Gives back in innovative ways
* Does this work outside of the core responsibilities of her job
* Is willing to share her story at the Awards Ceremony
NOTE: The service does NOT need to be STEM-related.
Nominations are due by Monday Dec. 7th, and by December 20th they’d like a 1-2 paragraph description of why your nominee meets the above criteria.Your nominations can be sent to Jaime Mayo, Director of WEST Operations (jmayo@westorg.org), with a copy to dlauzon@goodwinprocter.com.

The SBA’s InnovateHER: Innovating for Women Business Summit on March 17, 2016 in Washington, D.C. will bring together creative ideas to support women’s efforts to push the limits, break the glass ceiling and create long-term, positive changes in gender equality. The InnovateHER Challenge provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase products and services that: have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families (30%); have the potential for commercialization (40%), and fill a need in the marketplace (30%).
